Three Teams Awarded NASA CT Space Grant

The Connecticut Space Grant Consortium is a NASA funded organization comprised of 16 Space Grant affiliated colleges in the state of Connecticut. Their mission is to fund a range of undergraduate, graduate, and faculty projects, research, travel, internships, and workshops relative to STEM fields after selecting recipients from a rigorous application process. A total of five student project grants were awarded this year, and three of them were awarded to the Multi-Stage, Advanced UAV, and Radio Telescope Teams!

This is very exciting news! Each team was awarded $1000, which will be used to fund project materials. As a result of being recipients of the grant, the project teams will be attending the annual CT Space Grant Consortium Career and Grants Exposition on September 25, 2015 to present the outcome of their projects through a formal scientific poster and report. Winners are also asked to volunteer for STEM outreach within a college or middle/high school community, expressing their enthusiasm for STEM studies and careers.

Congratulations again to our three winners!
