YUAA Goes to the Breakthrough Awards

Last Tuesday, October 22nd, members of Yale Aerospace attended the 2013 Breakthrough Awards in New York City, hosted by Popular Mechanics. The event consisted of a series of conferences with innovators in the fields of science, technology, and engineering.  Members of the Mars Rover Team and others gave talks about their work. The last conference was Q and A with Peter Diamandis, founder and CEO of the XPRIZE foundation. YUAA members were also invited to a special press event where they got to try out the Oculus Rift virtual-reality headset and see the Boosted Board Longboard created by John Ulmen, Matt Tran, and Sanjay Dastoor.
