This past weekend marked the inauguration of Yale’s 23rd president, President Salovey. In honor of the occasion, the Yale Center for Engineering, Innovation, and Design hosted an event which showcased a few of the clubs most active in the space. The event opened with a quick talk from Professor Eric Dufresne in which he outlined the purpose of the CEID, and how the various groups who use the building fulfilled this mission. Attendees then moved into the studio space to see first hand the projects these groups have been working on. YUAA displayed the Astro-Egg Lander from last year’s Battle of the Rockets Competition and the plane for the current rocket-deployed UAV project.
